At times
our own light goes out and is rekindled by a
spark from another person.
Each of us has cause to think with deep
gratitude of those who have lighted the flame
within us.
~Albert Schweitzer~
I humbly owe everything
to God. He gives me
peace, comfort, courage,
and strength when my own
heart is lacking.
I thank God for His
love, daily blessings,
the gift of my life, and
the promise
of eternity through
Jesus, my Savior.
"Thou
wilt keep him in perfect
peace whose mind is
stayed on thee; because
he trusteth in thee."
Isaiah 26:3

I lovingly acknowledge
my children. I am blessed
to share life with my
son, daughter, and their
families who freely give
love, encouragement, and
acceptance...my
staunchest supporters.
My children are my
greatest blessings in
life. I am
thrilled to be a
grandmother. Life is
wonderfully full.

I wish to honor the
memory of my second
child, Casey Nichole.
She was born in 1986
with a recessive
neurological disorder,
Werdnig-Hoffman, Spinal
Muscular Atrophy
(SMA) During the
year I was blessed to
share her life, she
taught me so much about
courage, faith, living
in the moment, and
enjoying the simple.

loving remembrance of my 'Angel

Casey's
Tribute
I have sincere
gratitude for Dr.
Hiroshi Mitsumoto, the
neurologist who
diagnosed me.
My early SPS years,
under his care, were
instrumental in helping
me achieve the quality
of life I have today. May
God bless his Lou Gehrig's disease,
(ALS), research endeavors.

Dr.
Dalakas and Dr.
Rakocevic, thank you for your
time, effort, and the
kindness you both have
shown me during my trips
to the National
Institutes of Health, (NIH) as a participant
for SPS research. I remain optimistic for
future understanding and
treatment for Stiff
Person Syndrome Research.
I greatly appreciate
your endeavors while at
NIH.

I have a deep love
and appreciation for the SPS
email support group.
A
special thank you to Carlos for his
expenditure of time in maintaining the
group. Thank you to
those who share
information, experiences,
and encouragement through your
email postings. You
touch my
heart and continue to inspire
me along with many
others.
For my friends,
cherished and close to
my heart, I thank you
for being just who you
are. Sharing laughter,
tears, memories, and
love, my life has been greatly
enriched with your
presence.
We
are, each of us angels
with only one wing; and
can only fly by
embracing one another...
